Sauntera Technologies Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Trusted Trades Hub (the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Platform.

2.1 Information from Website Visitors

When you browse the Platform, we may collect:

2.2 Information from Website Generation

When you use the Platform to generate a website, we collect:

  • Business name: entered by you to search for your business
  • Google Places data: publicly available business information including name, address, phone number, ratings, and reviews retrieved via Google Places API
  • Email address or phone number: provided during activation

2.3 Information from Business Owners

When you create an account and manage your website, we collect:

  • Phone number: for account verification and login
  • Account credentials: password (stored in encrypted form)
  • Uploaded content: logos, images, and text you add to your website
  • Settings preferences: color schemes, content edits, and customizations

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Generate and host your business website
  • Verify your identity and authenticate your account
  • Send one-time verification codes via SMS
  • Send activation links via email or SMS
  • Display your business information on your generated website
  • Improve and maintain the Platform
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. AI-Generated Content

We use artificial intelligence services to generate website content (such as headlines, service descriptions, and marketing copy) based on publicly available business information. This content is generated automatically and may be edited by the business owner through their admin panel.

The publicly available business data used for content generation is sourced from Google Places API and is processed by AI services to create website copy. No personal information beyond what is publicly available is used in this process.

5. Google Places Data

We use Google Places API to retrieve publicly available business information. This data is used in accordance with Google's Terms of Service and includes business names, addresses, phone numbers, ratings, and reviews that are already publicly accessible through Google. We display this information on generated websites to provide accurate business details.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use the following technologies:

  • Google Analytics (GA4): to understand how visitors use the Platform, including page views, session duration, and traffic sources. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized usage data.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: for bot protection and security verification. This service may collect device and interaction data to distinguish humans from automated access.
  • Session cookies: to maintain your logged-in state and preferences.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the Platform.

7. SMS Communications

We send SMS messages solely for:

  • One-time verification codes during account setup
  • Activation links when you claim your website

We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages. Standard messaging rates from your carrier may apply.

8. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers: including Google (Firebase, Cloud, Analytics), Cloudflare (hosting, security), Twilio (SMS delivery), and OpenAI (content generation) who process data on our behalf
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or governmental authority
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
  • Protection of rights: to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property

9. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase/Firestore and hosted on Cloudflare's global network. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Encrypted password storage
  • Server-side authentication and authorization
  • Rate limiting and bot protection

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.

Analytics data is retained in anonymized form and is not linked to individual identities after the initial collection period.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Under PIPEDA (Canada)

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information held by us
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Withdraw consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your information
  • File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

For U.S. Residents

Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights including:

  • The right to know what personal information is collected about you
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

12. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.

13. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in Canada, the United States, or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
